Zephaniah Trust

 

The Zephaniah Trust (reg. charity 1036478) is a schools and children's work charity which Shipley Baptist Church supports, collaborates with and with which it shares its building.

Founded in 1994, The Zephaniah Trust seeks to "take Light into dark corners" in the schools of Bradford and further afield through music and the arts. Initially founded to support the work of singer/songwriter John Froud, it now also employs percussionist Mark Drake and storyteller Julie Wilkinson.

The team lead assemblies, workshops, lessons and arts weeks in over 50 schools in and around Bradford. It invites classes into churches for the Bible Times Exhibition and for a annual programme of RE events and collaborates with local churches in providing holiday clubs, praise parties and the annual Light Party.
